🐉 WHAT IS #YARC?
The Year of the Asian Challenge celebrates Asian literature and authors. So the challenge is to read as many books written by Asian authors as possible throughout the year. They can be older titles, new releases, or even ARCs of any length, genre and format.
You can pick out a challenge level, grab an adorable badge, and get started! There will other fun activities like giveaways, prompts, and Twitter chats happening too. You can sign up here and join the fun! 🙈
Follow @YearOfTheAsian for more information, or check out the links to the hosting sites provided above.
🐉 MY CHALLENGE LEVEL GOALS
I have around 30 books by Asian authors that I can’t wait to read so I’ll be going for the Malayan Tapir level! I might even go for the Giant Panda level if I manage to find the time.
So *fingers crossed* y’all.

🐉 PROGRESS & UPDATES
I’ll be updating the #YARC TBR on this throughout the year since more great Asian releases I’ll want to read are bound to pop up.
I’ll be keeping track of my progress on a separate post which you can check out here.
*ALSO. I JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE AUTHOR OF WE HUNT THE FLAME IS PART SRI LANKAN (like me! though I’m 100% Lankan) AND I’M PRACTICALLY SOBBING COS THIS NEVER HAPPENS IN YA 😭
I’m so excited and happy that this challenge is happening! It’s time Asian authors finally get the recognition they deserve AND I’M HERE FOR IT.
A big thank you to all the hosts for making this possible 💗
